Based in San Rafael California, I am industrial designer with a background in physical product development, materials, prototyping, and user research. Much of my work has involved figuring out how to make difficult ideas practical, often in fields where I initially had a lot to learn.
I've worked on prosthetics, orthoses, protective softgoods, and digital products, collaborating with engineers, clinicians, researchers, manufacturers, and teammates that have become family . I enjoy getting close to a problem by asking why over and over, observing how people interact with it, and building solutions with velocity that allows us to fail and try again.
I'm particularly interested in projects where the solution isn't obvious, where different disciplines have to work closely together, and where making something better can have a positive impact effect on someone's life and make our communities stronger.
